LPC-Associate Supervision
Selecting a supervisor is one of the most important decisions you will make while on your path to becoming a professional counselor. I would encourage you to do your due diligence in making sure your potential supervisor has the experience and qualities needed to guide you along what can be a very confusing and overwhelming journey.
The supervisor/Associate relationship is a collaborative one in which both parties have to believe it is beneficial to move forward. When considering working with a LPC-Associate, I consider the theoretical background, previous practicum experience, education, and professional goals of the Associate.
Why choose me?
- I am certified in Trauma Model Therapy.
- I was well trained by the internationally renowned Psychiatrist Dr. Colin Ross while working on his adult in-patient unit in Dallas, Texas.
- My experience working on the in-patient trauma unit provided me extensive knowledge when dealing with PTSD, depression, anxiety, dissociative disorders, and suicidal ideation.
- You will not only have access to me but my entire team. I have a close relationship with my former associates. Many of my former associates have their own thriving private practices. Our relationship has transformed from supervisor/associate to supportive friends and colleagues.
- My theoretical orientation is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I definitely have an eclectic approach however, most of my techniques are rooted in CBT.
- 24/7 access for ethical dilemmas that need immediate attention
Fee
- The State of Texas requires supervision 4 hours a month during the minimum of 18 months and 3,000 hours needed to obtain licensure. LPC-Associates are allowed to have 2 supervisors.
- Half of monthly supervision can be obtained through group supervision. I do expect you to attend group supervision. I have two times available, Monday at 6pm or Wednesday at 11am.
- I charge a flat monthly fee
